One crazy week!

Life has been crazy this week! It started off with me giving the TAKS test here in Corpus on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Lets just say, I got a good taste of what it would be like to go back to the classroom full time. Thankfully Ryan was home so he was able to take Emma to school in the morning and pick her up for me. The first day, Emma had her shirt on backwards and no hair brushed. The second day, hair brushed in a pony tail. Emma hates to have her hair in a "big" pony. She asked me to PLEASE teach daddy how to do a "little" pony! ha. Then the last day, no hair fixed again. When I picked her up on Thursday, her teacher asked if I had been out of town all week. ha! Daddy gets a lot of credit. It isn't easy but I guess we have to do some hair lessons.
Needless to say, Emma was thrilled to see me each evening when I came home. I love the way she lights up when she is excited!

Pop came to visit on Friday. We took him to Chuck E Cheese and then out to dinner.

Then Saturday morning we had the March of Dimes walk. My goal was to try and run as much of it as possible since I am training for Beach to Bay which is only a month away. I have some work to do but I finished 5.5 miles, pushing Emma in the stroller, in about an hour. So that is not too bad. I thought I would be really sore today but only my feet hurt, so that is a good sign!
Here is the group of Stroller Strides Mamas!
At the starting line!
Hooray! We made it! (the button I have on says "Team Jensen". Emma's friend Ethan was a preemie! Such a great cause!)
They had some fun stuff for the kids at the finish line. Here is Emma and Ethan holding hands going down the slide. So much fun!
Helping our friends up

Emma at the finish line!

We hit the beach for a little while, after our walk, for the first time this year. Emma was so excited to wear her new swimsuit and to play in the sand. The water was too cold to swim in, but that didn't stop Emma from getting her legs in.
Great shot of Emma and Daddy

Pouring water on her castle

Building a sand castle with Pop. The great thing about going to beach when you are three..... you can actually make a sand castle with Emma. She doesn't knock it down two seconds after you create the first piece.

Beach Bum

As if the walk and beach were not enough! We had tickets to see Disney on Ice with friends too. Emma insisted that she wear her Minnie Dress. So off we went. Here are friends, Ella (Cinderella) and Ethan (Price Charming)

Totally mesmerized

Tried hard to get a good shot of all three....
