Happy 4th Birthday Emma!

We celebrated Emma's 4th Birthday this weekend. I can't believe my baby girl is already 4! It was definitely a birthday that she will never forget. Emma had all her grandparents and all of her Larkin cousins come into town to help us celebrate!

We started the weekend off with a trip to the beach.
Then we headed back to the house to eat some lunch and give Emma her big present! Her very own truck!

We headed to the park in our neighborhood for Emma's party that afternoon. Here is the birthday girl! She had a Hello Kitty themed party and two moonwalks!

Then the real excitement happened! Emma was playing in the moonwalk with her daddy and feel back the wrong way I guess.... we ended up leaving the party early and heading to the urgent care center for x-rays. Turns out she fractured her arm just above the elbow. Poor baby, what a way to end a birthday!

We finally got home around 9:30 that night and Emma was eager to open a few presents. She is such a trooper!!!

Had to have some help from Daddy to open presents.
She loved her poodle shirt from Mommy and Daddy
Lots of fun new barbies to play with

Then on Sunday we decided to open the rest of her presents with her cousins. I washed her birthday shirt so she could wear it again. It was cute how they all helped her open her gifts.

More time driving the car and playing with cousins. How many kids can we fit in this truck?

Then back inside to open the rest of her presents.

As if that wasn't enough excitement for one weekend, Emma moved into her new room! My mom came early and was able to paint. It turned out so cute and Emma absolutely loves it! We just need to hang some things on the walls, put up curtains, and get a head board.

We will be going on Wednesday to get her cast put on her arm. I have to say for the amount of pain she must be in, she has been really tough. She does really well with the splint and sling but once we take it out of the sling, she complains of pain. I was able to take everything off the past two nights to give her a bath. She did try to use that arm a few times in the tub but screamed in pain when she did. I am looking forward to her having the cast so her arm will be more protected. Hopefully she will only have to wear it for a few weeks.

Happy Birthday to you!

What happened to your arm?
I love that she says "Actually NO" the x-rays didn't hurt when I could hear her screaming from down the hall!
