Big Girl Bed and Summer Fun!

Emma is officially a big girl! She is now pretty much potty trained (except when asleep) and has been sleeping in a big girl bed this week! I am going to re-do her room this summer but I thought we should try the toddler bed before we switch to the twin. She has done really well! In the morning she just walks out either in the den or in our room and says "Good Mornin, Mommy, Daddy, Charlie and Bella" It is too cute! Luckily she is still sleeping until 7:30-8am.

She has her new sheets on her bed, but the quilt is from her crib bedding. I can't wait to put her new quilt and all her bedding together, hopefully before the end of July.

We went to Canyon Lake over the weekend to visit my parents and niece, Collyn, on the sail boat! Emma is IN LOVE with her cousin Collyn. She just adores her and could not get enough hugs from her. Collyn was a good sport and I think she had fun with Emma too.
Here are the girls making me nervous while out for a sail!
Lots of HUGS for Collyn from Emma

Here are the girls eating ice cream, on the dock at 10am..... a little early but oh so yummy!
Feeding the ducks off of the dock

Standing on the dock by the boat
Having dinner with Nan in the clubhouse.... Emma would not take the chip out of her mouth! and I love how Collyn is looking at her! Too funny

Morning HUGS!
Walking on the dock together....so cute!
Emma LOVES Cinderella... here she is singing along with the movie!

I took Emma to this really cool pool in Portland yesterday afternoon. She had a ball and swam for about 3 hours. She loved the slide but I wasn't able to get a video of that, maybe next time.
On a side note, I have been pretty down lately. It has been over a month since I have been home to The Woodlands to see my family and friends. Ryan is constantly telling me to cut the cord but I love my family time.
Please pray for Ryan's surgery to go well on Tuesday! We would like to have my wuss of a hubby in as little pain as possible and no complications.
Also, Please say a little prayer for Emma and I, the next few weeks are going to be difficult with Daddy out of commission! Thankfully Nana is coming a week after Ryan's surgery, I just know I will be running to hug her when she gets here!

  1. don't listen to Ryan! Family is super important! Go see them when you get a chance... try to perk up in the mean time! Hope you do well ... I'm sure Ryan will be more work than Emma!
