Happy Easter 2009

We had a wonderful Easter!! I look forward to this weekend every year. I feel so very blessed to be able to spend this time with family and give thanks to Jesus for all he did so that we are able to enjoy this time together.

Here is Emma at her school Easter egg hunt on Thursday. I snuck away from work for a little bit so I could attend.

We headed to The Woodlands on Friday morning and enjoyed the afternoon with Nana, Pop and Grandpa. Then we headed to the Good Friday service at church to meet up with some of my family. Emma loved dancing to the music and playing with cousins.

On Saturday morning we dyed Easter eggs.. outside of course. Emma had a ball and kept wanting to put them back into a different color. :)

She also wanted everyone to have a sticker on their chin. Here she is giving Pop his sticker. Even the dogs got a sticker. Charlie had an egg sticker on his head all day!

We stopped by a birthday party on Saturday..very quickly (sorry we couldn't stay longer).

Then we headed to Bellaire to Joan's house for the Barrett family annual crawfish boil. We got there just in time for the last batch to come out of the pot. Yummy! Leo did a great job cooking!

Easter Morning!

Emma came downstairs to her basket.. which she was very happy about but also was a little afraid that the Easter bunny was in the house somewhere. Eventually we were able to convince her that he had hopped away!

Emma found a special gift on the front porch! She has not let go of it since. She wants to sleep with it every night but I think it is a little too big. So "hop hop" sleeps in the chair in her room.
