Christmas Fun!

Another busy week here in Corpus. Earlier this week Emma decorated gingerbread cookies. Here she is eating hers.

I love the dogs on the floor waiting for something to drop!

Here is my week with work. Emma did not take her nap as I had planned during my conference time. So she sat on my lap through most of my conference time. She colored. You can see my student is completing a map activity....thank goodness my mic turns off while I am not not talking!!!

Daddy came in to take pictures during story time before bed.

Emma absolutely LOVES her baby dolls. She rocks them, feeds them a bottle, changes diapers, and takes them for walks. Her teachers at school tell me she has been spending most of her play time in the baby center. Do you think she is trying to tell us she wants a sibling?

Ryan, who is obsessed with camping, convinced me to bring Emma out camping on Friday night. We went to Goose Island, which is about an hour away. It was a beautiful State Park. We had fun camping and then walking around on Saturday morning. (I only agreed to go for ONE night). Here is Charlie enjoying himself.

I was trying to take a little nap in the tent. Here is Emma trying to cover me up with her blanket. So sweet of her!

Silly girl.... willing to do anything to not have to get dressed
Love Charlie's tongue in this pic

Emma loves her daddy!

After hearing Emma say, "Ho,Ho, Ho" all day.........On Saturday night we headed out to Candy Cane Lane here in Corpus. This event is open to the city. There is one neighborhood that goes all out with the lights. You walk through the streets and each house hands out something different. They had everything from Candy Canes and Cookies to Margaritas and coffee. They had a band playing Christmas music in one driveway and Carolers on a few of the streets. There were also a few houses that had a projection TV showing football games for all those Dads! Even Santa was there!

It was something fun for us to do as a family for our first Christmas here in Corpus Christi. Go figure it was 80 degrees last night and the high was 50 degrees today!

Perfect decoration for South Texas

Emma loved this Mickey and Minnie decoration in the background

The line for Santa was really long so we just said hi from the street.

Emma and Daddy- She is smiling at Santa who was standing next to her.

Today, we tried to stay inside since it was so cold. The wind made it pretty unbearable outside but we ventured out for a little while for Emma to drive her Barbie ATV. That is Daddy with her.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!
